EUROPEAN UNION LAUNCHES EURO 2.5 MILLION SUPPORT TO CIVIL SERVICE REFORMS IN SIERRA LEONE.

On Tuesday 12th November 2019, the European Union and the Government of Sierra Leone jointly launched a new action in support to Civil Service Reforms. The European Union contributed Euro 2,5 million (approx. 25 billion Leones) to support the Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) to steer civil service reforms in line with the Midterm National Development Plan (2019-2023). The launch took place at the Civil Service Training College and it was honored by the Secretary to Cabinet and Head of the Civil Service, Mr. John Sumailah, the Chairman of the Public Service commission, Mr. Kalilu O. Bah, and the European Union Ambassador, Mr. Tom Vens. It was attended by over 40 stakeholders drawn from HRMO, PSC and the civil service arena.
