Agriculture makes up the largest share of Sierra Leone’s gross domestic product (GDP), estimated at 55.1 percent in 2017. It also comprises more than 60 percent of the country’s labour force.

The European Union and the Government of Sierra Leone are cooperating to develop the agricultural sector in Sierra Leone in line with the Government’s MTNDP.
