May 9th every year, the European Union Delegation in Sierra Leone celebrates the ‘EU DAY’ with Sierra Leoneans and development partners in the country.
The NAO has over the years used this day to open its doors to the public showcasing our work and providing information about Government of Sierra Leone and European Union Development Cooperation and benefits to Sierra Leone. This year, we are joining the EU Delegation in Sierra Leone, who have already started the EU week with the “EU and Me Road Show and Pop Up Photo Exhibition”.
The NAO has collected stories and testimonies across the country from partners, government officials and communities about the achievements, impact and benefits of GOSL-EU Cooperation, and will produce a10-minute video documentary that will be broadcasted on TV stations and social media platforms.
The documentary will capture all four focal sectors that are funded under the 11th European Development Fund: (Governance, Education, Agriculture and Key Infrastructure)You will have the opportunity to also listen to Dr. Francis Kai-Kai Minister of Planning and Economic Development who also doubles as the National Authorising Officer of the 11th European Development Fund and Ambrose James Director of the National Authorising Office who will entreat us with in-depth analyses of this bilateral relationship On behalf of Dr. Francis Kai-Kai Minister of Planning and Economic Development, the NAO wishes the EU and all Europeans here in Sierra Leone and across the world a happy Europe Day.
