This is the newly constructed bridge over the Sewa River at Gondama, South of Bo. With a distance of 225m long, the new bridge has an estimated lifespan of 100 years.
Sewa Bridge is part of the Bandajuma-Liberia Border Road and Bridges project.
This is the largest European Union-funded project in Sierra Leone and it costs €105. When completed, this project will improve Sierra Leone’s core road network and open the main gateway to Liberia, restoring a vital link between Mano river union countries and beyond.
