Newly constructed bridge over the Sewa River at Gondama, South of Bo.

The Bandajuma-Liberia Border Road and Bridges project includes upgrading 100km of road and constructing new bridges spanning the Sewa, the Wanjie and the Moa rivers, with support from the European Union.

This is the newly constructed bridge over the Sewa River at Gondama, South of Bo. With a distance of 225m long, the new bridge has an estimated lifespan of 100 years. 
Sewa Bridge is part of the Bandajuma-Liberia Border Road and Bridges project. 
This is the largest European Union-funded project in Sierra Leone and it costs €105. When completed, this project will improve Sierra Leone’s core road network and open the main gateway to Liberia, restoring a vital link between Mano river union countries and beyond.
