THE NATIONAL AUTHORISING OFFICE TOGETHER WITH MoPED BID FAREWELL TO EU AMBASSADOR

Today 22nd July 2021, the National Authorising Officer for the 11th European Union Development Fund who also doubles as the Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Francis Kai-Kai and the Director of the National Authorising Office Ambrose James bade farewell to Ambassador Tom Vens, who was EU Ambassador to Sierra Leone for the past four years.

Ambassador Vens has been an ally and supporter of NAO’s work, ensuring that the the Government of Sierra Leone and the European Union (GOSL-EU) development cooperation remained focused and mutually beneficial.

Dr. Francis Kai-Kai and Ambrose James both thanked Ambassador Vens for the exemplary leadership and support to the people of Sierra Leone. Both wished him the best in his future endeavors and new assignment.

They both also use the opportunity to heartily welcome Tom Vens’ successor Ambassador Manuel Müller and reaffirmed NAO’s commitment to the partnership and GOSL- EU development cooperation.
